STAC
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the STAC public website. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
1. Informational Purpose
The website provides general information about STAC and its services. Website content is not legal, compliance, cybersecurity, financial, or other professional advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice based on your organization’s specific circumstances.
2. No Client Relationship or Service Commitment
Visiting the website, submitting a contact form, or communicating through a published website address does not create a client relationship, managed-services relationship, confidentiality obligation, service-level commitment, or duty to perform work. Services are provided only under a separate written agreement signed or accepted by authorized parties.
3. No Emergency or Support Requests
The public website and contact form are not emergency channels and are not intended for technical support, security-incident reporting, or time-sensitive service requests. Existing clients should use the support and escalation channels established for their organization.
4. Acceptable Use
You may use the website only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, connected systems, accounts, or data
- Probe, scan, or test systems except with STAC’s prior written authorization
- Introduce malware, harmful code, or excessive automated traffic
- Interfere with website availability, security, or operation
- Use the website to transmit unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or harmful content
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when submitting information
5. Intellectual Property
The website and its text, graphics, branding, logos, layout, and other content are owned by STAC or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and print reasonable portions for internal, noncommercial evaluation of STAC’s services. No other right or license is granted without prior written permission.
6. Third-Party Services and Links
The website may use or link to third-party websites and services. STAC does not control third-party content, availability, security, or privacy practices and is not responsible for them. A link does not necessarily mean that STAC endorses every statement, product, or service offered by the third party.
7. Service and Compliance Statements
Descriptions of managed technology, cybersecurity, compliance readiness, CMMC readiness, Microsoft or cloud services, and other capabilities are general summaries. Actual scope, responsibilities, exclusions, deliverables, fees, and service levels are determined by the applicable written agreement.
STAC may support readiness and assessment preparation, but does not guarantee security, compliance, certification, uninterrupted operation, or a particular assessment or business outcome. Certification and formal assessment decisions remain with the applicable independent or authorized assessor.
8. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SECURITY, OR AVAILABILITY.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STAC AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE WEBSITE. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.
10. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold STAC harmless from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful misuse of the website or your violation of these Terms of Use.
11. Changes and Availability
STAC may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website and may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will identify the current version. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law and Venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. To the extent permitted by law, disputes relating solely to the website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washoe County, Nevada.
13. Severability and Entire Agreement
If a provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement concerning use of the public website, but do not replace any separate written agreement governing services or another relationship with STAC.
